The “Rally Van” is up for sale.
I listed it this morning, figure I’ll put it here as well ( you guys may be able to swing a deal ).
Listing my baby to a good home.
She’s a 1994 Plymouth Voyager, pretty much completely rebuilt from the ground up.
She shows 138k on the odo.
The 3.3L V6 was just refreshed about 1500 miles ago.
The trans was freshened when the motor work was getting done, with all new seals/gaskets/fluid/filter.
The body was just redone this spring.
The interior is in great shape.
Suspension was rebuilt about 30k ago, using all KYB and Moog parts, a 2" lift was added at this time as well.
The brakes have been redone, upgrading to Stoptech rotors with Akebono pads.
It has almost new 27x8.5x14 General Grabber ATX tires riding on Dodge Spirit wheels.
Custom made push bar loaded with Hella 500 lights.
Yakima roof rails with a Jeep Commander basket on top, custom painted to match.
Full 2.5" exhaust split into duals at the rear.
Far more work into this van than most people would even consider.
$5,000 obo
Here’s the link to the full build up since the day we got her:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I’ll be sad to see her go, but I’m finding the joy has gone, so its time.

That thing is so clean, amazing! I hope you find a good new home for it with an owner who appreciates what it is.

After giving it some thought, I think you should ge ar your ad towards people who would consider buying a Pontiac Azteck.

Wow, this surprises me, but if the thrill is gone it is indeed time.

Damn, this seems to sudden! You were posting about working on it not long ago and selling it already! :(

I know I’ll end up regretting this decision.

Keeping the car and the 1992 is back burner until I get it painted, at which I will decide what to do with it.

Honestly it comes down to not being totally happy with it since the 3.3L went in. I don’t want to put the time/money in to get it back up to the power level I’m used to, so its time to let go.

definitely sad to see, but I assume this only means more focus on other fun projects

I haven’t been completely happy with it since my 3.8 blew up and I don’t want to put in the time/money to get it back to that level.

I’ll be finishing up the 1992, at which I’ll decide it’s fate.
After that I may go on hiatus for a while until we pay off our house and the new van and get ourselves out of town. Once we’re out of town I’ll take up another project, likely a father/daughter build on something.

So much work went int o this thing! Sad to see it go. )=

Yeah but that’s life sometimes…especially when you know it’s pointless to hang on to something you don’t need, and you could put that money to better use elsewhere. You have the new van to focus on now! But yeah I’m sure there’ll be a grieving period :(

OPPO sticker pre-applied!

I imagine whatever motivation was still there, went away when you got the new van?

From what you’ve shared, they will have some fond memories of building these vans. My first build was an old Jeep with my dad and those times will always stick with me.
That said, my mother uses a T&C for her daily and hauling show dogs around. I can very much see why the upgrade was worthwhile.

Not really actually. I’ve been cracking on the body on the 92 so I can get that painted soon.

Maybe my brain isn’t working, I thought you had another larger
engine somewhere to replace the 3.3?

That is a super nice van, now I am feeling like I just about gave my Ranger away.

My blown up 3.8 is still sitting, but it will cost close to $1k to rebuild it right ( assuming I do the machine work myself ).

I can’t wait to hear in a follow up thread about all the fun things the CL mouthbreather brigade has to say about the rally van.
